Acknowledgement (Lent 1)

It is hard to acknowledge that you need help but a core concept of faith is the realization that we are plainly incapable of saving ourselves no matter how hard we work. When we hold that idol of perfection on the inside it will often eat away at us to the point where we are reflecting the world more than the image of God. How might this Psalm be providing us with a voice for acknowledging the brokenness in our individual lives and our deep need for the restoring relationship with God offered through the grace of Jesus?
