Upcoming Events

Save The Date! 8.15.21

On the 15th, we will have services at 10:45 in the Sanctuary and The Vine and then a service at 5 p.m. in The Vine.  After the 10:45 Worship services, there will be a free catered meal in the Oak Street Center parking lot.  We will have a tent set up outside but if it is too hot and uncomfortable, there will be seating available in Oak Street Center.  After you have eaten, we will have an art display, a photo station, and information table for Sunday School classes and small groups.  There will also be inflatables for children, a dedicated jump house for toddlers, a dunk tank, and a Blessing Ball Drop.  You may be asking what is a Blessing Ball Drop?  Well, children youth and adults will write a blessing on a ball of something good that has come out of the Pandemic.  Then we will gather and shower (Drop) these blessings from a high place symbolizing the overflowing blessings of God in our lives.  These blessing balls can be taken home to celebrate and remember how God has blessed us as a church family and as individuals!  So, let’s gather on August 15th to worship, fellowship, and give thanks to God!

Artists Wanted!

As we celebrate we also recognize that grief and loss have been part of our journey through the last
months. Likewise there has been healing. You may have found the quiet and solitude that has led you
to renewed focus on what is truly important and fulfilling.Grief, loss, healing, renewal and celebration. Have you found ways to express any of these experiences by creating? We want to display your creative work as part of our celebration. If you carved, whittled, wrote, scrapbooked, drew, painted, sewed, quilted, built, designed, baked, photographed, or anything else you can display contact Donna Palmer at dsbpsych@gmail.com

We are looking forward to restarting Prime Time Wednesday on August 18th. Make plans to join us on Wednesday nights. More details to come.

How can we pray for you?

Many Hearts. One Purpose.

At First-Centenary United Methodist, we believe there are many hearts, but one purpose, and that is to “Make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” Our Vision is to serve people of the greater Chattanooga area in order to build a healthy and diverse community of disciples.
We seek to do this by engaging both the head and the heart through worship, through learning opportunities, through service, and through giving.
